Mr. Timothy Tipila Ole Naeku joined Bowry and Company as a student after his pupillage and admission as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya; he continued to work with the firm and later became a partner.
Mr. Naeku completed his LLB at the University of Nairobi in 2002 and his Masters in Law (LLM) in 2012 from the same university.
He manages the conveyance and commercial law at the firm and also undertakes company law and intellectual property matters. He is also well versed in civil and criminal litigation and is a recognized authority in abuse of process and fairness in criminal proceedings.
Mr. Naeku has participated in some intricate and complex cases such as Stg. Jacob Muthee Mathiu & 8 Others Vs. Republic which involved the infamous King’ong’o prison warders, Valeo (K) Limited Vs. Barclays Bank Of Kenya Limited a precedent setting case on award of interest at commercial rates by courts adjudicating civil disputes, Joseph Mbui Magari Vs. Ethics And Anti-Corruption Commission &Another and the death penalty case of Jackson Maina Wangui vs Republic (2012) eKLR.
Mr. Naeku takes a great interest in the Maasai community as well as being an expert on customary law matters in particular Maasai customary law.
As a traditional Maasai, he has not forgotten his farming and ranching weaknesses.
